The artist compound where Marek Szwarc lived was built in 1878 using remnants from the Paris World Fair. It housed a number of painters and sculptors, as well as their guests. Rodin, Modigliani, Zarraca but also Luna, Picasso and many others used the facilities. Marek lived and worked here until his death in 1958. Today the atelier is inhabited by his daughter the writer Tereska Torres.

The compound is fairly secret, tucked away in a left bank neighborhood.

Here you get a chance to take a sneak peek at a typical atelier of the "Ecole de Paris."
